"The Thriving Resilient Communities Collaboratory (TRCC) connects the growing community resilience movement to more of itself in support of large-scale social transformation towards a just and thriving society. We are an action learning community of practice that hosts deep dialogues and gatherings, seeds and incubates collaborative projects, and fosters synergy among leaders.
Our core work is to connect and foster synergy among network hubs in the TRC metamovement, whom in our experience often do not interact. We help connect the local community movement to more of itself, a key principle of healthy communities. In Kirsten Schwind’s (BayLocalize) words, “While representatives from the Collaboratory member organizations know each other professionally and enjoy collegial relationships, they often did not take time to share their plans with each other in a way that allowed co-creation or deep collaboration. Having the TRCC provide this structure greatly increased communication and awareness between organizations about how each is contributing to the field, potential for collaboration, and how we can be more effective together. As all representatives are busy with their own organizations, a key challenge is finding a format for communication and collaboration that is useful without being onerous.” (http://thrivingresilience.org/trcc-overview/)
