Description

Greg Austic:

"Most plant research happens in highly controlled lab conditions. Unfortunately, the plants that human beings care most about grow outside where weather, bugs, and animals all impact their growth and health. Photosynq is a tool for measuring plant health at a fundamental level in the field, where it matters most, and collecting that data across the world to create an global, open access dataset of plant health and plant physiological activity.

...

Photosynq is a big project — we aim to create an open access database of plant health information from around the world by enabling researchers, educators, and citizen scientists to collect field data using their cell phones."
