Description

"GreenWave's network of ocean farmers, social entrepreneurs and advocates are working to jump-start a new ocean economy that meets the growing need for sustainable seafood, habitat restoration and resilient communities in the era of climate change.

Our work ranges from re-training unemployed fishers and setting up community supported farm programs to crowdsourcing financing and launching cooperatives. And we're scaling up the blue-green economy with kelp biofuel plants and embedding ocean farms into wind farms." (http://www.greenwave.org/#what-we-do)

More Information

"The GreenWave Ocean Network is an open-source virtual platform for collaboration and sharing. It’s a place where ocean farmers co-design new artificial reef systems; where citizen-scientists upload crowdsourced acidification data; where ocean entrepreneurs float new ideas to solve emerging problems."
