The article says occurs when the sharing the production of the good by one person increases the value of the good to others.

Some (maybe most) people think Profit is value, keeping Price above Cost requires rivalry as a lack of Competition, so the value talked about here must be something else. It appears to me the value spoken of here is the often somehow overlooked Product itself. That the reason most Free Software developers write code in the first place - to obtain the *product* for themselves. --Ownut 10:36, 6 January 2008 (PST)
