Vasilis holds a PhD in Technology Governance from Tallinn University of Technology (2016) as well as a five-year-BSc and a MSc in Urbanism and Regional Development from University of Thessaly. His research work is related to commons transitions at the city level with an emphasis on makerspaces and the use of local manufacturing technologies.
Nikiforos is a Junior Research Fellow at Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance, Tallinn University of Technology. He is pursuing a PhD on "Governance of Smart Cities" and is affiliated with the FinEst Twins Smart City project. His research interests include circular economy, smart city, commons and sustainability transitions.
Nikiforos is also a Fellow of the P2P Lab research collective. He has been involved in REFLOW, an EU H2020 project seeking resilient solutions towards a circular economy, and the Tzoumakers, an open lab for communities to cooperatively design and manufacture tools for small-scale agricultural production.
Nikiforos is a Civil Engineer and holds an Integrated MSc in Transportation and Project Management from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
