"The world's deepest bin - Thefuntheory.com - Rolighetsteorin.se "

They said it got a lot more trash than a neighboring bin.

Mentions this site:
"This site is dedicated to the thought that something as simple as fun is
the easiest way to change people’s behaviour for the better. Be it for
yourself, for the environment, or for something entirely different, the only
thing that matters is that it’s change for the better."

Maybe they have been reading Bob Black or Charles Fourier?

In any case, it seems to be a brand awareness campaign for Volkswagen? There
is some kind of contest mentioned on that site too, with a prize of 2500
euros: "Find your own evidence for the theory that fun is best way to change
behaviour for the better. For yourself, for the environment or something
entirely different. Your entries should be presented with a written
explanation plus a visualisation of the idea itself. It could be a simple
sketch, photos or a film of a prototype. You decide what will do your entry

Of course, what they miss is that by making something competitive (the
contest with a winner) they may be taking a lot of fun out of things. :-)
