C.R.E. (Chris) Wells is an artist, IT professional, and teacher living in Ohio, USA. He has researched the antipoverty effects of workforce development programs for completion of his master's thesis in labor and human resources (The Ohio State University, 2009). Interests include peer-to-peer modes of artistic creation and sharing (e.g., the mail art movement, Creative Commons licenses, etc.), media theory, free/open source software and design, language (both human and programming), societal human resource development, and political economy (especially the design of alternative/complementary currencies).
