Design must be infused with visioning sessions, goal generation, analysis, research, observation, ideation and critical thinking. A team, not individuals, engages in collaboration, imagination, exploration and discovery early to create drivers that inform design directions through each phase of a project.

This Process will ultimately provide the team with a library of “tools” to educate and lead the client, as well as, follow the design intent through the completion and occupation of the project. Tools can be, but aren’t limited to, sketches, computer/physical study models, research (white) papers, data sheets, goals & objectives, video presentations and marketing/donor materials.

Innovation only happens when preconceived notions of form and ‘what looks good,’ are set aside and the data available from metrics impacting the site, community and environment inform everyone to the design solution.
