Upstream is a multi-disciplinary research project that is designed to point to new models of organizational learning as they are impacted by changes in technology, information creation, packaging, distribution and consumption, and new approaches to design.

What is the significance of the term "Upstream"? As described quite well by Jaap van Till in his essay P2P Upstreamers (published after we selected the "Upstream"), we are focused on how new trends and important pieces of intelligence are identified and communicated using tools of the P2P/social Web era.

Areas of interest include but are not restricted to:

   * Social Computing
   * Content Filtering
   * Trend Scanning and Analysis
   * Information Visualization and New Design Methods
