Our Community Networks Map offers an interactive look at the many ways communities have improved Internet access with smart local investments. These communities have some of the best connectivity you can find in the entire country -- supporting strong local economies and a high quality of life to ensure they can thrive.
This list is ordered by state and includes information on any legal barriers to municipal networks.
The criteria for networks to be featured on this page:
- The network must cover at least 80% of a city.
- A local government (city, town, or county) owns the infrastructure.
- It is a Fiber-to-the-Home network.
- It is in the United States."
