We present a revolutionary approach to address the problems of cost, privacy and longevity of smart devices on the Internet Things. We make the case for rethinking the technology strategy at the foundation of the IoT to be secure, scalable and efficient. Our approach leverages the “block chain” – the technology platform underlying Bitcoin - to create a decentralized platform for the Internet of Things.
