Bio

"I am a PhD candidate at the Syracuse University School of Information Studies. My research looks at socialization of newcomers in open online communities of production (e.g. Citizen Science, FLOSS) and exchange (e.g. Sharing Economy). My work is inspired by the ideas, technologies, and people that leverage latent skills and resources towards commons-based, peer-to-peer economic activity.

I locate my research interests at the intersection of Computer Supported Cooperative Work and Science and Technology Studies.

Prior to my graduate work I founded PressPassTV, a nonprofit that works with youth on the production of video news segments highlighting community organizing work." (http://buildingthecommons.org/about/)
