"On March 5, 2008, the Coalition for the Global Commons launched an international consultation process that engages partners across the world in the development of a common global action plan. The Coalition for the Global Commons seeks to provide a multilateral platform in politics, economics, civil society, science, religious communities, academia, and the media that will enable leaders, experts and the public across the world to work together for a new system of global economic and political cooperation.

Our consultation activities include personal discussions and 'town-hall' meetings, advanced electronic methods for obtaining group agreement from distinct opinions, and this moderated Wiki website. The results of these consultations will be made public at a conference of international stakeholders in 2010, Convention on the Global Commons, where consensus on an action plan will be completed."
